03 Dec 2024: Update (December 2024): The Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Gdañsk issued a decision on environmental conditions for Baltyk 1, concluding a process initiated in May 2022. The environmental decision does not encompass infrastructure for power evacuation to the National Power System or service and maintenance bases. Separate proceedings will address these elements. The joint venture applied for an environmental decision to the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Gdańsk. The submission of the application was possible after conducting more than a year long research and a comprehensive program of pre-investment marine environmental surveys. Along with the application, the Undertaking Information Sheet and other attachments required by law at the stage of determining the scope of the report on the impact of the undertaking on the environment were submitted.
